I don't even know enough to talk about that but it's irrelevant. They sometimes tolerate publisher requests in order to keep creating what they love, and they will catch flak for it.Īnd don't bring up the female worker controversy. People at Blizzard actually play their own games.īlizzard does not get enough credit, and people blame them for things that they don't always have a say in. No one at Blizzard would want to put a gacha mechanic in the U.S. Blizzard are the people who are the passionate gamers who love to make games that people will love as well. People always talk shit about blizzard for some of their decisions, but Blizzard isn't a publisher. They would sooner just not make the game. Activision may be scum, but there is no way Blizzard would let that happen. I will concede that the south korean version could include gacha mechanics purely because the people of south korea actually enjoy those mechanics and it would be stupid not to include it as it makes great money while also being a feature people like. You can check if your phone is considered compatible by going to the Diablo Immortal page on the Google Play store here: It is also very likely that the list of compatible devices is updated with time adding more phones. It turns out that I do have a phone and still won't be able to play the game. This does not mean that it won't work, but rather that my phone is not common enough for them to make it officially compatible with Immortal (and avoid angry customers if something goes wrong I guess.). If you don't know how this works, Blizzard can mark/unmark devices and brands as compatible or not compatible manually. I am quite annoyed by this! My phone is for sure able to run this game but Blizzard decided that it won't let me even install it. Well, I guess my 2019 Motorola Zoom, which is as powerful as the Nintendo Switch is now not compatible with Diablo Immortal.Īt least that's how it is showing in the Google Play store for me, when it was not showing this way before today's update!
